It's a classic. Everything so fresh and delicious. Great for both ordering ahead or just walking in and letting the spirit move you. It can get busy but it's well worth the wait.

I love going to Kamehameha Bakery since they are open extra earlier than most bakeries which makes it so convenient for myself. There donuts are soft, not too sweet, the variety of donuts makes buying decisions hard sometimes because you want to buy one of each. LOL I really like their poi donut. It's a favorite with my coworkers. Kamehameha Bakery will always be my go to bakery.

Love their poi donuts and glazed donuts. So light fluffy and heavenly sweet. This place can get busy, best to go in the morning. Staff is quick and prompt with your orders. Located in city square In dillingham. So many excellent desserts, it's very difficult to choose. Been here a million times and will continue to return for more goodies

If you haven't eaten this yet, what are you waiting for? I love sharing these with my friends and family for the first time. We gave it out during my daughter's high school graduation drive-thru in 2020. There is a lot of parking, but come early since there are tons of other food places in the area. The service is awesome and staff are very friendly. Come early as well because sometimes the line is out the door! It's cool and clean inside! It's in the heart of Kalihi! Enjoy! Or don't share at all. LOL!

If I could order and try everything in the cases I totally would...twice! This store is a blast from the past where huge buttery ensamadas are spread in sugar, dinner rolls piled up in dishes, Chantelli cream dolloped on taro bun, poi mochi piled and displayed. Every traditional local pastry made with love and just memories of Hawaii. Sure there's no fancy cellophane wrapping. Just a paper box with a group of little old ladies waiting to help. The prices of the bakery items are sooo cheap and worth every penny. My favorite is the large snowflake cookie because it's not Christmas but we can still enjoy it with a hot drink. I hope this place can last forever and forever. This is something you want your kids to also enjoy as they get older and to say to their kids...my mom used to take me here. Parking is free but stalls are tight. Maybe park outside the strip mall if you worry about dinged doors.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Got two fritters, two mini taro donuts, a cream donut, and a regular donut and the total was like $11. It was damn cheap. Vibes are great. Staff are friendly. Quality is off the rails. Some of the best donuts I've had anywhere. Even my fritter snob of a girlfriend ate the whole thing and was asking for more the next day. Don't miss this gem. Arrive early.

I made a special drive out to the West side of the island to get the poi donuts before they closed at 4pm. The poi donuts did not disappoint! I also decided to get a malasada (to continue the great malasada taste test), a poi haupia donut (which I then remembered is more like poi bread with haupia cream inside, which is not really a donut), and then at last minute was convinced by other patrons to get the banana fritter since they were out of the apple fritters but apparently the banana fritters also have apple in them. WOW. Because I had ordered the banana fritter on a whim, it was unfortunately/fortunately in a paper bag on top of the taped-closed box of donuts. So I could eat it as I was driving back to Hawaii Kai. I had to stop myself from eating the entire fritter, it was so good. And my daughter who ate the remains of the fritter agreed it was the best sort-of-apple fritter we'd ever had. Of course I should also mention the paper bag in which the fritter had been in was dripping oil by the time I got back to the house (30+ minute drive). So not a light snack! Banana fritter: 5*/5 Poi donut: 5/5 Poi haupia (bun I'll call it): 3/5 (because it's not a donut) Malasada: 3/5 (but perhaps not fair because it wasn't hot, and maybe I've realized now I don't really love malasadas) Kamehameha Bakery is my favorite bakery on island for donuts/fritters!

I came here to try the ube soft serve next door, and when I saw this bakery, I had to try it too! It's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot than a cafe, which was exactly what I was looking for. They have a wide variety of different pastries, but they told me that their most popular items were: their original glazed donut, their poi donut, and their banana bread. I got an original donut and a poi donut and both were so delicious. They have that freshly fried taste of donuts that I love, and the glaze wasn't overly sweet. Great prices for the portion, and I would definitely coem back

This is not a place I would usually go to because of flies and whatnot, but the poi doughnuts are legit here. Service is okay, but I didn't like having to use cash. Food is great though!
